Formula One: 'Canada was a lottery, we missed it'
Race day did not go according to plan and in the end Alonso retired on lap 38.
BERLIN:
Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has admitted the Canadian GP left a 'bitter taste in the mouth' and that the overwhelming feeling at the end of the event was one of 'regret'. "Regret is the feeling affecting all of us at the end of a chaotic Canadian Grand Prix," he said. "We had the potential to fight for the win but everything that could go wrong did go wrong." Race day did not go according to plan and in the end Alonso retired on lap 38 after colliding with Jenson Button and getting beached on a kerb. His exit ended a run of twelve consecutive points' finishes stretching right back to last year's Italian GP. Massa's race also went pear-shaped when he damaged his front wing while attempting to lap Narain Karthikeyan on lap 53.
