Katrina Kaif praises Malala Yousafzai for her book 'We Are Displaced'

Actor shared an appreciation post on Instagram for the young activist

It's no secret that Malala Yousafzai has managed to make more than just a name for herself. From educating and empowering women to becoming the youngest Nobel Prize laureate, she seems to have achieved milestone after milestone.

With that comes a lot of recognition. The activist is known all around the world and even has a biopic titled Gul Makai being made on her. Other than that, she's had numerous books to her name. And unsurprisingly, the author has garnered countless fans.

One fan in particular recently put up a post on her Instagram handle, letting everyone know she's currently reading one of Malala's books. The fan is none other than Bollywood superstar Katrina Kaif.

"Currently reading We Are Displaced," she posted. "The stories in this book, of Malala and all the other incredible girls are moving and inspiring in equal measure. They will inspire so many others to dream, reach higher and believe in themselves."

Quoting a message to the activist directly, Katrina wrote, "Malala,  I wish you more strength, more power, to keep changing the world one day at a time. The world needs you and more like you."

The Thugs of Hindostan actor went on to let everyone know that "proceeds from every book sold will benefit the girls in the We Are Displaced and Malala Fund’s work for girls’ education." She then advised everyone to 'do their bit' and shared a link to buy the book.

Both Malala and Katrina received a lot of love from users who had a lot of positivity to share in the comments. "Thanks Kat for reading," wrote one, while another stated, "And we proud of you Malala!"
