A man allegedly stabbed his uncle to death in Sargodha’s Behra Tehsil on Sunday.

An official from Miani police station told Express News that Muhammad Akhtar, a resident of Samblanwala, had an argument with his nephew Zaheer Ahmed after their children got into a fight.

Both men had a heated exchange over the matter. However, when the argument escalated, accused Zaheer allegedly took out a knife and stabbed his uncle. Akhtar sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Rural Hospital Miani where he breathed his last.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case against the suspect on the complaint of the deceased’s brother Muhammad Safdar and have started investigations.

Police said that the victim was a father of four children. Officials added that the police were conducting raids to arrest the accused.

Earlier, a man stabbed his wife and her nephew over a domestic dispute in Bahawalpur. Police said that Noreen Bibi, a resident of Basti Bandra, married Muhammad Javed around 14 years ago. The couple had five children.

For the past one year, Javed used to fight with Noreen over certain suspicions. On the day of the incident, the couple had a heated debate. When the argument escalated, Javed allegedly took out a knife and stabbed Noreen Bibi with the intention to kill her. In the meantime, other family members and the woman’s nephew Muhammad Rehan reached the spot to save her.

During the chaos, the culprit also stabbed Rehan and escaped from the scene. As a result, both the victims suffered stab wounds and were shifted to a local hospital for treatment.
