Abbottabad, Galyat receive heavy snowfall

Abbottabad-Murree road closed owing to snowfall

Abbottabad and Galyat received heaviest snowfall of the season where two to three feet of snow was recorded in Donga Gali, Changla Gali, Bara Gali, Thandiyani, Ayubia and other hilly areas.

The main Abbottabad-Murree road was closed owing to snowfall, however, later it was cleared for traffic.

In Battagram, rain in plains and snowfall on the mountains further dropped the temperature.



The Orakzai and Hangu districts and adjoining areas also received snowfall, which disrupted power supply and vehicular traffic.

Upper and Lower Dir and Chitral districts also received heavy rain and snowfall. Many link roads were blocked in Upper Dir. Heavy rainfall was also recorded in Kohat region.

Heavy snowfall was recorded across Gilgit-Baltistan disrupting vehicular traffic and electricity supply.
