Liasion between the police and the business community is vital for curtailing crime, said City Police Officer (CPO) Abbas Ahsan
Talking to a delegation of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its President Shahid Saleem, the CPO said coordination committee between the police and chamber would help in controlling petty crime.
Cops-citizen linkages: K-P Police to appoint persons for info sharing
CPO Ahsan said that the concept of community police to resolve issues linked with the traders is common across the globe. He added that the coordination committee between the police and the traders would give positive outcomes and help in curbing crimes.
RCCI President Malik Shahid Saleem pointed out the increase in street crimes and asked the police to boost its force along with the patrolling and suggested the use of latest machinery in order to stop mugging incidents.
