Well trained, professional armies deter wars, guarantee peace: COAS
General Qamar visits formations of Bahawalpur Corps during winter collective training
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday lauded the battle hardened Pakistani armed forces as a well-equipped, well trained and professionally competent army that can deter war and guarantee peace.
He said this while visiting formations of Bahawalpur Corps during winter collective training, said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The army chief witnessed manoeuvre of mechanised formation as part of defensive Corps’ operations against conventional threat. He expressed satisfaction on high standards of training and operational preparedness of the armed forces.
While interacting with officers and troops, the army chief appreciated their high morale.
“Pakistan is a peace loving country, looks forward to peace within and peace without in line with the vision of father of the nation. A well-equipped, well trained and professionally competent army deters war and guarantees peace. Pakistan Army is one such battle hardened force,” he remarked.
Later, the COAS also visited position of an infantry formation in Fort Abbas Sector along Eastern Border.
Commander Bahawalpur Corps and Inspector General Training and Evaluation accompanied the army chief.
