The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) announced it will conduct an investment conference in Balochistan in collaboration with the provincial government. This was decided in a meeting between Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Jam Kamal Khan and FPCCI President Daroo Khan Achakzai in Quetta. The objective of this conference would be to explore investment avenues in various sectors of the province and for this purpose, investors from all across Pakistan, as well as from foreign countries, will be invited. Achakzai shared that the conference would be held in the first quarter of 2019 to explore and exploit the resources existing in Balochistan. It will also help project a soft image of the province internationally, particularly in the backdrop of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). “The chief minister has offered incentives for attracting foreign investment in all sectors of the province to create jobs,” he said.
