Four hotels constructed illegally adjacent to Buddhist caves demolished
ISLAMABAD:
Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday demolished illegal constructions from the land owned by the Evacuee Property Trust Board (EPTB) at Buddhist caves in Shah Allah Ditta.
During the operation, four hotels constructed illegally adjacent to the Buddhist caves were demolished, a press release said.
The operation was conducted by the Enforcement Directorate of CDA, Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA), Islamabad police and other concerned formations, while staff of the revenue department and ETP was also present to identify the encroachments. CDA team used heavy machinery to demolish the illegal structures. The site after vacation from illegal occupants was handed over to the Evacuee Property Trust Board.
