CID Arrests: Alleged TTP activist sent on remand
The police seized 20 kilograms of explosive material.
KARACHI:
Judicial Magistrate, West, Rasul Bux Mir Jat sent two alleged activists of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Wali Mehsud Group, into the custody of the CID police till June 17 on Monday. The accused, Abdul Razzaq alias Umar and Rashid Iqbal alias Basit, were arrested on Sunday during a raid at Frontier Colony, Karachi. The police seized 20 kilograms of explosive material, two hand grenades, two TT pistols, 20 metres of detonating wire and 200 bullets. Abdul Razzaq is suspected of recruiting people into the TTP.
