According to the Levies, unidentified miscreants planted an improvised explosive device (IED) in a motorcycle and parked it in Jan Adda area of Pishin district.
“Levies Tehsildar Abdul Malik Tareen and his guards suffered injuries along with passers-by as the device exploded when they were passing the area,” a security official told The Express Tribune.
A heavy contingent of law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and shifted the injured to the district headquarters hospital.

Four critically injured security personnel were shifted to Quetta for better medical treatment.
According to the bomb disposal team’s findings, approximately 5kg of explosive material was used in the motorbike blast.
Initial investigation suggested that Tareen was the target. No group immediately claimed responsibility of the attack.
Meanwhile, two men, including a security man, were injured in another motorcycle explosion targeting the security forces in Panjgur.
“A convoy of the security forces was passing through the Cantonment area when the IED was detonated by remote control,” officials said.
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan condemned the attacks. “Those involved in the heinous crime shall be dealt with accordingly,” he said.

The chief minister also ordered improvement of security arrangements throughout the province.
Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove also condemned the blasts, saying the enemies of the state were involved in creating unrest in the province.
Seeking a complete report on the incidents, he maintained that Pakistan’s war against terrorism would be carried forward to its logical conclusion.
