Grand Event: Cholistan rally arrangements reviewed

Commissioner issued directives at a meeting held to reviews Cholistan desert jeep rally arrangements

BAHAWALPUR: Bahawalpur Division Commissioner Nayyar Iqbal on Friday said the 14th Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally would be held from February 16 to 17 and directed all the departments concerned to chalk out the plan of action to finalise the arrangements. The commissioner issued the directives while addressing a meeting held to review the arrangements Cholistan desert jeep rally. Regional Police Officer Imran Ahmad said 1,000 police officials would be deployed for the security and traffic management while Rangers and army squads would also be part of the security. It was told in the meeting that during the rally cultural night, and fireworks would be held at Derawar Fort. The commissioner also directed the departments concerned to complete the arrangements such as repairing of route, cleanliness, preparing of the camping area, traffic management and other arrangements.
