Journalists walked out of a press conference by Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda after he allegedly used foul language in reply to a senior journalist's question.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) minister was addressing a press conference when he was asked regarding the awarding of Mohmand dam's construction bid.

"How can I be responsible for those contracts' bidding that took place when this government was not there? Secondly, if you find controversy or want to concoct one, then this is open and you can investigate this as you like it.

Sindh governor might be given 'additional responsibilities', says Vawda

"Because you are my elder I am answering the question. If this was someone else, I would not have answered and also set aside his mic."

Vawda's rude response to the senior journalist's question immediately angered members of the press present on the occasion and they started to walk out in protest.

Although Vawda tried to placate the journalists and issued an apology, members of the media walked out and later protested the minister's use of foul language.
