Security has been beefed up by the Sindh Rangers in Karachi to maintain law and order and avoid any untoward incident on New Year ’s Eve.
According to Radio Pakistan, Rangers spokesperson said that patrolling will take place in Karachi and interior Sindh.

Since Saturday night, over 50 suspects have been detained with regards to this operation. What started as a tip-off about the supposed presence of drug peddlers at Old Sabzi Mandi turned into a major operation overnight.
In Lahore, as many 10,000 police personnel would be deployed on the night of New Year’s Eve. DIG Operation Waqas Nazir said people involved in hooliganism, aerial firing, fireworks and one-wheeling on the New Year’s Eve would be dealt with iron hands.
