Policeman killed, another injured in Swabi
A passerby was also injured in the attack

At least one policeman was killed while another was injured when they were attacked by unidentified armed assailants in Swabi on Sunday.
A passerby was also injured in the attack. According to the district police office, Swabi residents Farhan and Pervaiz were returning home on a motorbike after completing their shift at the Yar Hussain Police Station. While travelling through the remits of the Kalu Khan Police station in Swabi, unidentified armed men fired on them. As a result, Farhan and Pervaiz and a passerby Ayaz suffered bullet injuries.
The injured were rushed to the hospital where Farhan succumbed to his injuries. Pervaiz and Ayaz were later shifted to Mardan for advanced treatment. After the firing, the police conducted search operation in the area but there were no reports of any arrest until this story was filed. The funeral prayers of the slain constable are expected to be offered at the Shah Mansoor police lines.
