Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda on Sunday said some Pakistan People's Party (PPP) MPAs in Sindh are likely to form a forward bloc in the provincial assembly, Express News reported.

Speaking to reporters at Karachi airport, before leaving to Islamabad to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said, “As many as 20 to 26 members of PPP may form a forward bloc in Sindh.”

The minister said that Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has been informed to keep his activities to a minimum as he might be asked to play some ‘other important roles’ in the province. President Arif Alvi has also been apprised of ‘major developments’ and an important Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) meeting will take place at his residence soon, he added.

Faisal Vawda also claimed that, "A (Shah) will be the next CM of Sindh, if PPP government somehow managed to remain in power in the province".

It is pertinent to mention here that Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Minister for Ports and Shipping Ali Zaidi, PM's Special Assistance on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari have already demanded the resignation of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah after the JIT named him in its report of fake bank accounts case.
