Qadri shifted from Gujrat jail where he is confined over treason charges
Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) leader Pir Afzal Qadri on Sunday was admitted to a hospital after complaining of chest pain, Express News reported.
Qadri was shifted to the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) in Rawalpindi from the Gujrat jail, where he is confined over treason charges.
He was brought to the hospital under tight security of Elite Commandos, headed by DSP Kharian Mian Arshad, and was given emergency treatment fro over two and a half hours.

For further diagnostics, the TLP leader was taken to the radiology department, where he underwent a CT scan, chest x-rays and ultrasound test.
Following medical examination, he was admitted to the medical care unit.
Moreover, the Gujrat police was replaced by Rawalpindi police for his security.
Top leaders of the party including Khadim Hussain Rizvi and Qadri were arrested for causing law and order situation after spearheading nation-wide protests over release of Aasia Bibi, a Christian acquitted by the country's top court of blasphemy charges.
The TLP leaders are now in police custody facing treason charges.
