A Rescue 1122 staffer was killed when a bus hit him while he was performing his duties in Lahore on Saturday, Express News reported.
In the city's Kot Abdul Malik area, seven people had been injured in a truck and bus collision.
Rescue workers reached the scene of the accident and began performing relief work.

During the rescue operation, a bus ran over 30-year-old Kashif, who worked as a driver in the rescue service.

Earlier this year, at least 821 road traffic crashes (RTCs) had been reported in Provincial Monitoring Cell of the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in all 36 districts of Punjab including Lahore with the highest number of accidents.
