Financial and other powers are being devolved to the district administrations which will be given the responsibility of development plans, education, health and surveillance of other departments.
This was stated by Balochistan Chief Secretary Dr Akhtar Nazir while chairing a meeting to review the performance of local authorities at the district level.
Senate forms committee to resolve data services suspension in parts of province
On the occasion, all the divisional and deputy commissioners briefed the chief secretary about the law and order situation in their districts.
The attendance issue of local officers, teachers, and hospital staff in their workplaces and details about the vacant posts in various departments were discussed.
Moreover, district development programmes including cleanliness drive, Green Pakistan initiative and many other issues were also assessed.
