Wedding bells: Model Abbas Jaffrey ties the knot

While his wedding seemed like a lowkey affair, we wonder if the reception will boast an array of celebs

2018 isn't over just yet and neither is the winter wedding season.

This year has seen a bevy of local and international celebrities tie the knot. Globally, 2018 saw some seriously lavish ceremonies from the Royal Wedding in May to the #DeepVeer and #NickYanka events...Here in Pakistan, names such as Aisha Khan, Faiza Saleem, Feroze Khan and Aiman Khan and Muneeb Butt top the list.

And now model and PTI MNA Abbas Jaffrey has jumped the bandwagon, having tied the knot in an intimate ceremony just recently. While the couple is yet to release official pictures soon, some snapshots have been circulating over social media.

Jaffrey, clad in a black sherwani, looks handsome as ever. There is also another picture of the newlyweds from their mehendi ceremony which shoes the heartthrob and his wife all smile, dressed in colourful ensembles.

Jaffrey had previously stated that his wedding has been getting delayed due to his budding political career. The two-time winner of the Lux Style Award for Best Model was a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate and became a Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) this year.

The 26-year-old is the youngest and the only MPA from a showbiz background to have made to the Sindh assembly from PS 125 – the strongest seat under the hold of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

While Jaffrey's wedding seemed like a low-key affair, we wonder if the reception will boast of a celebrity guest list? Guess we'll just have to wait and watch. Congratulations to the happy couple!
