Football: Liverpool pledge more signings
Liverpool director of football has promised club’s fans there will be a healthy amount of transfers this summer.
LONDON:
Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli has promised the club’s fans there will be a healthy amount of transfer activity this summer. There is widespread speculation that the club has already made a £5 million move for Arsenal’s Gael Clichy. The Reds also signed once-capped England midfielder Jordan Henderson from Sunderland this week in a deal worth around £16 million. The 20-year-old is the third major signing since Kenny Dalglish’s return as manager, with Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez joining in January.
