QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said that the government is committed to resolving public issues in the province, particularly in Lasbela.
He was talking to a delegation led by a prominent spiritual personality of Lasbela district and senior leader of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Pir Shah Jillani, who called on him on Thursday.
The chief minister vowed to resolve all issues related to electricity, water and other facilities in the district.
“The people of Lasbela were not alone in the past and wouldn’t be now,” he said.
He also said the youth would be trained in technical skills at a residential polytechnic college in the district.
The BAP believes in the politics of serving the people and taking measures to make the province prosperous, he said, adding that changes would be seen during his tenure.
Kamal said, “No problem can be solved overnight and all the existing issues will be resolved gradually.”

On the occasion, Jillani informed the CM about the problems in the district, particularly Uthal.
Meanwhile, the chief minister also met some other delegations that apprised him of their problems. CM Kamal assured them that the problems would be solved.
Ahmed Baloch, a visual artist from Awaran studying at the National College of Arts in Lahore also recently called on CM Kamal.
During the meeting, Ahmed showed his collection to the chief minister who lauded his skills. The CM said Balochistan had vast talent that had been proving its people’s capabilities around the world.
“We should be proud of Ahmed Baloch who has been earning a good name for Balochistan in Pakistan as a student from the remote Awaran district gaining national attention through his art,” said Kamal. He stressed the government’s support for talented artists like Ahmed.
Kamal lamented negligence shown by the previous governments towards sports, arts and culture. He said the provincial government was fostering talented students of Balochistan.
