SMIU awards cash prizes to winners

KARACHI: Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) organised a prize distribution ceremony on Wednesday for the winner who had participated in the Innovative Ideas Competition (IIC-2018). The competition was held in collaboration with Distinguished Innovations, Collaboration & Entrepreneurship (DICE) Foundation at SMIU. The winners were distributed cash prizes. The first prize of Rs20,000 was given to a group of students comprising Suman Dilip Kumar, Tooba Yousuf, Ufaq Gul and Mushahid Hussain Shah, on their project ‘My Assistant’. The second prize of Rs15,000 was given to a two-member group of Syed Usman Hussain and Mahira Mansoor on their project ‘Multidimensional Holographic Disopay’ and third prize of Rs12,000 was given to Maaz Ahmed and Shajia Sehar on the project ‘Recycling App’. Also, other seven winner teams were given cash prizes of Rs 4,000 each, on their projects.
