Excise And Taxation: 84 per cent recovery target met
The Excise and Taxation Department has collected over Rs100 million.

The Excise and Taxation Department has met 84 per cent of their recovery target and has collected over Rs100 million. Khanewal E&T department was given a target of recovering Rs119.738 million of outstanding taxes till June 30. The department has already collected over Rs 102 million, ETO Ikramul Haq said on Saturday. He said over Rs20 million was collected as property tax, Rs40 million in motor vehicle tax, Rs400,000 in excise duty, Rs2.2 million in professional tax, Rs30,000 in entertainment tax, Rs 3.9 million in cotton fee and Rs 53000 in hotel tax.
