The seventh joint exercises between the Pakistan and Chinese air forces concluded at an operational air base of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in Karachi on Friday, a spokesperson said.
The air exercises, called ‘Shaheen-VII’ aimed at maximising the combat readiness of the two forces by providing a realistic training environment in different combat scenarios, the PAF spokesperson said in a statement.
The war games concluded with an august culmination ceremony in Karachi, where Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Operations), Air Marshal Muhammad Haseeb Paracha was the chief guest.

Defence Attache at the Chinese embassy, Major General Chen Wenrong, and several high ranking officials of PAF also attended the ceremony.
The participants were given a comprehensive briefing on the exercise. Addressing the ceremony, Air Marshal Paracha highlighted the significance of the joint exercises and appreciated the smooth conduct of exercises.

Major General Wenrong, in his address, thanked the PAF high command for offering traditional hospitality and providing the opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences.
On the occasion, the guests visited the exercises monitoring cell and witnessed the display of skills by the personnel of the two air forces. Later on, the guests witnessed the launched missions of the PAF and the PLAAF’s participating fighter jets and support elements.
The PAF has been participating in foreign exercises with leading and friendly air forces of the world. These exercises have helped in giving invaluable experience to the PAF combat crew and enhancing their professional competence.
