Busted: Arms smuggling bid foiled
The police recovered 25 Kalashnikovs, 180 magazines and thousands of cartridges from secret cavities in the car.

The city police foiled an arms smuggling bid on Saturday and arrested the smuggler in the Pahari Pura area. Acting on a tip-off that weapons were being smuggled from Fata to Punjab via the Motorway, the Parahi Pura police erected a blockade on ring road and stopped a car to search it. During the search, the police recovered 25 Kalashnikovs, 180 magazines and thousands of cartridges from secret cavities in the car. The accused, Noor Zeb of Akhorwal, Dara Adam Khel, was arrested.
