Police nab motorcycle thief in Bhakkar
Accused used to sell stolen two-wheelers in Dera Ismail Khan
BHAKKAR:
The police claimed to have arrested a motorcycle theif during a raid in Bhakkar on Wednesday.
A police official told Express News that the force received a tip-off that a motorcycle thief, belonging to a notorious criminal gang, was present in the area.
He added that the police team immediately raided a hideout and nabbed the culprit identified as Allah Bakhsh alias Kamran. He said that Allah Bakhsh is a resident of Jhok Hafiz Wali.
During interrogation, the accused told the police that their gang used to steal motorcycles from different areas of the city. He added that they used to sell the stolen two-wheelers in Dera Ismail Khan.
The culprit maintained that he had sold several stolen motorcycles to different people.
Meanwhile, on the information provided by the accused, Saddar police raided a spot near his house and seized 15 motorcycles that were hidden in a field of sugarcanes.
Police have registered a case No 563/18 and conducted raids to nab the suspect’s other accomplices.
On December 14, police arrested two motorcycle thieves from Gujranwala.
Police received a tip-off that two outlaws, belonging to a wanted criminal gang, were present in the area. Police teams raided a hideout and nabbed two culprits identified as Nasir alias Nasri and Abdul Qadir.
Nasir is a resident of Kot Abdul Malik, Sheikhupura, while Abdul Qadir hails from Taunsa.
The accused told the police that their gang used to steal motorcycles from different parks and areas in the city. The culprits revealed that they used to transport the stolen two-wheelers to Taunsa and then to Balochistan where they would sell them to other parties.
They revealed that they disassembled several motorcycles and sold the spare parts for money.
