The accused manages to swindle a total of Rs300 million
KARACHI:
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday arrested a suspect, Asad Ali Malik, who is accused of committing fraud.
Malik allegedly collected large amounts of money in payment for vehicles but failed to deliver them as promised. He introduced himself as a member of Indus Motors' dealership when he collected the money.
He made fake bookings, issued fake authority letters, transfer letters and sale confirmation letters for different vehicles under his signature and stamp. He acquired the vehicles from the dealership but failed to deliver them to the real owners. The accused managed to swindle a total of Rs300 million. He will be produced before the accountability court today.
