ISLAMABAD:
Adviser to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam Tuesday said the Prime Minister's Clean and Green Pakistan (CGP) initiative had directly addressed Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) priorities.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had made SDGs part of its election manifesto and now its government was trying implement the same, he said while addressing the closing ceremony of two-day National Workshop on Transforming SDGs into Action and Launch of National Target for SDG 6.

\Aslam said: "The national targets are the need of the country whereas the Clean and Green Pakistan project has five main factors out which three are directly linked with WASH priorities and the remaining two with other SDGs." He said the movement of SDGs was to change the mindset of policymakers towards the priority issues like WASH and help them set targets.
