Anwar Maqsood’s Naach Na Jaany all set to air in 2019
Dawar Mehmood and Anwar Maqsood have come together to release a prequel of Aangan Terrha which has understandably been named Naach Na Jaanay. The theatre play is all set to be released in 2019. In a recent interview, Anwar Maqsood shared that the play will highlight the things that lead to what happened in Aangan Terrha and that it is set during Ziaul Haq’s martial law era.
Pete Davidson shares troubled message
Pete Davison shared a troubling message on his Instagram page after which the account was deactivated. The message read “I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last. All I’ve ever tried to do was help people. Just remember I told you so.” Celebrities among the likes of Nicki Minaj, Jada Pinkett Smith and fans were quick to offer support. Ariana Grande; who the actor split up with mid-October offered support and supposedly rushed to be by his side as well.
Miss Philippines becomes the new Miss Universe 2018
Miss Philippines has been crowned as the new Miss Universe in Bangkok after a trailblazing ceremony praised for featuring its first transgender candidate but marred by gaffes about the English-speaking ability of two Asian contestants. Catriona Gray, 24, finished first ahead of the South African and Venezuelan finalists in the glittering televised event hosted by American comic turned TV host Steve Harvey and supermodel Ashley Graham. In the final round, Gray earned applause describing her work in the slums of the Philippine capital Manila.
Pitbull trolled for his new song Ocean to Ocean for Aquaman
Pitbull recently released his version of Toto’s Africa, Ocean to Ocean featuring Rhea. The Timber rapper’s rendition triggered some strong opinions online. Fans seemed not so amused by Pitbull’s attempt and flooded Twitter with hilarious meme reactions to the song. Some even deemed it as the worst song of 2018.
Katrina Kaif and Karan Johar share different views on item songs
In a recent interview, Karan Johar shared that he will never use an item song in his feature films as he feels that item songs objectify women. He shared he has no issues with a girl dancing, but it is when a woman is depicted in a situation where men are seen lusting over her is where the problem arises as seen in Chikni Chameli. Katrina on the other hand, in a later interview shared that she feels differently about the matter and that it all comes down to the person performing as she doesn’t believe Beyoncé or Madonna feel objectified while performing their songs on stage.
T-Pain steals the tune for Indian song Tum hi ho
T-Pain recently released a snippet of his new song That’s yo Money as a holiday treat for his fans but people were surprised to know that the song features a famous Bollywood movie. Aashiqui 2’s signature tune for the song Tum Hi Ho can be clearly heard in T-Pain’s new song. The song’s composer Mithoon Sharma was quick to point out and shared a tweet that read ‘Sir, the melody that you have used in your new song is my original work for a previously released Hindi film. The label is looking into this.’
