Fourth anniversary: Homage paid to APS martyrs 

Homage was paid to the students, teachers and other staff of APS

PESHAWAR: To mark the fourth anniversary of the attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, in which 140 students and staff were killed, a prayer and Holy Quran recitation was held in the city on Sunday.

The event was attended by the Peshawar Corps Commander Lt Gen Mazhar Shaheen, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Governor Shah Farman, Awami National Party (ANP) Information Secretary Mian Iftikhar Hussain, K-P Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai, K-P Finance Minister Taimur Salim Jhagra, parents and relatives of the martyred students and staff.

Homage was paid to the students, teachers and other staff of APS who were martyred by militants. Flowers were also laid at a monument built to remember the martyrs.

Senior K-P Minister for Tourism Atif Khan in a message said that militants show their ugly faces through acts of militancy and terrorism. Through the attack on APS, they showed the world that they are only capable of attacking the innocent.
