Extortion: Cleric running a seminary shot dead

A cleric running a seminary was shot dead on Friday night in Sohrab Goth by the brother of a policeman. The man, identified as Qari Abdul Bari, was shot dead by Zubair Mehsud, who is the brother of a police inspector named Azam Mehsud, police officials said. The deceased, DSP Iftikhar Lodhi said, used to run a seminary in the Super Market area in Sohrab Goth. The deceased, he said, had refused to pay extortion money. A case had been registered against the alleged killer and investigation is under way, the DSP said.
