Earthquake jolts parts of K-P including Peshawar

Earthquake's epicentre was the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan

KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA:
A 5.3 magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) including Peshawar, Lower Dir and Buner district on Friday morning.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the earthquake measured 5.3 and the epicentre – at a depth of 113km – was the Hindu Kush mountain region in Afghanistan.


Earthquake tremors felt in parts of K-P, FATA

No casualties were reported from the area.

Earlier this year, a 5.6 magnitude earthquake jolted many towns of K-P. The epicentre of the quake was at a depth of 200km in Hindu Kush mountain area.
