Renowned singer Atif Aslam announced the release of his latest song yesterday. And, it was done in a rather creative way. The Dil Diyan Gallan crooner shared a video clip on his official Facebook page which showed him on his phone while he waits to go on stage to perform, with the crowd going wild in the back, chanting "ATIF ATIF!"

It then goes on to show a snippet of an animated Atif clad in a crisp white shirt sporting a pair of sunnies. This was followed by the details of the song's release, "12th December, 12pm." Surprisingly, as promised, the track was released today at the exact time.

Titled 12 Bajay, it begins where the Facebook clip left off, in terms of the visuals. As far as vocals are concerned, Atif starts off in a mellow tone, backed with the soft strumming of the guitar. This transitions into a plethora of rock with a fusion of electric guitars and energetic drumming, with the Dekhte Dekhte hit maker's powerful voice leading.

Directed by musician and film-maker Zeeshan Parwez, the video is interesting; with a mix of clips from Atif in the recording studio, snippets of his concerts and music videos as well as animations. It's safe to say that the visuals definitely keeps one intrigued and wanting more.

Overall, the song features creative variations in pitch which make it all the more different. The rocking chorus is something we have never seen before from Atif, thus providing audiences with the surprise factor.

Don’t need name or label if I have talent and passion: Atif Aslam

The Aadat singer captioned the song as follows, "Here is a song made purely out of my love for music. The same love that breathed life into my journey. The same love that resonates with all of you beautiful people. I took only that love when I entered sunset sound studio earlier this year and left everything else at the door.. I forgot about all the numbers and the views and all the pressure that comes with it...and just let it all out in the studio. If you can even feel 5% of what I felt while making this, it's a success."
