KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Team Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has said that Express News Sports Reporter Saleem Khaliq had proven his mettle in sports journalism. He added that Khaliq's book, titled 'Cricket Nama,' was informative and beautifully covered the subject of cricket.

The captain expressed these views at the book launch ceremony at Karachi Gymkhana where he was the chief guest. Ahmed further said that people passionate about the sport should wait for the book.

Khaliq said that production of his eighth book was a source of pride for him.

Express Media Group Chief Executive Officer Ejazul Haq said that Khaliq holds a prominent position not only at Express but also in the country for his skills. Along with information, he has an exceptional writing style, he added.

Nadeem Umar of Quetta Gladiators said that Khaliq holds a prominent position in sports journalism. Former test cricketer Shoaib Muhammad said that due to Saleem Khaliq's brilliant know-how of cricket, his writings are considered authentic. Former Karachi City Cricket Association president Professor Ejaz Farooqi said that the book was informative. Roznama Express Editor Tahir Najmi said that writing a book was a difficult task, but Khaliq did justice to this work. Mushtaq Sajani, Azam Khan, Zafar Ahmed, Mirza Iqbal Baig Qasim and others were also present at the occasion.
