
The chief minister particularly mentioned the Greater Karachi Bulk Water Supply Scheme, better known as the K-IV project, and the Karachi Circular Railways or KCR during a meeting with the prime minister. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail was also present during the meeting.
The chief minister told the prime minister that the federal government was more than welcome to do those projects in Sindh as those subjects came in the federal domain.
The chief minister urged the prime minister to spend more on electricity and gas projects in Sindh, citing the last Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government’s priorities in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
On a query by the prime minister, the chief minister told him that “the provinces can work with the federal government as long as each recognises their constitutional jurisdiction”.
The two leaders also discussed the law and order situation in the province with particular reference to rural areas. The chief minister informed the chief minister that over the situation was good.
While acknowledging better law and order situation, the prime minister said that some 10 years ago he used to move in rural Sindh in convoys because of poor law and order.
