Deadly landslides in Skardu kill 8

Deadly landslides killed eight people and injured nine others in the Karmang and Urowangat areas of Skardu.

Ten houses were completely damaged by falling boulders due to the landslides.

Locals have pulled the injured out of the rubble on self help basis and they are getting medical treatment at a public hospital.

Skardu Deputy Commissioner and a Red Crescent medical team have left for the affected areas to conduct rescue and relief operations.
