IoBM confers degrees on more than 1,000 students

KARACHI:
The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) awarded degrees to more than 1,000 students of their 21st graduating batch at a convocation ceremony held at its campus in Korangi on Saturday.

Degrees were conferred in specialized disciplines like Advertising and Media Management, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Information Technology, Human Resource Management, Finance, Marketing, Business Communication and other fields.

This year IoBM awarded 11 gold medals and 45 merit certificates. Shahjehan Syed Karim Gold Medal was awarded to Mehermah Shafat, BBA (Honors), Westbury Group of Companies Gold Medal was awarded to Hammad Tariq, BBA (Honors), Halima Fatima Memorial Gold Medal was awarded to Muhammad Umer Farooq, BS (Computer Science), Imam Ali Kazi Memorial Gold Medal was awarded to Areeba Nasir, BS (Honors) Accounting and Finance,; Channel Tek Gold Medal was awarded to Amna Nasir, BS (Honors) Media Studies, Shan Foods Gold Medal was awarded to Maryam Saeed, MBA (Weekday), Dr Essa's Laboratory Gold Medal was awarded to Yamna Hasan, MBA (Health and Hospital Management), SH Hashmi Memorial Gold Medal was awarded to Muhammad Zubair Khan, MBA (Weekend), Tabba Foundation Gold Medal was awarded to Kajal Parkash, MBA (Evening), Orient McCann Gold Medal was awarded to Rumsha Junaid Janjua, MBA (Evening), Janmohammad Dawood Gold Medal was awarded to Komal Shakil, MBA (Weekday).

400 students awarded degrees in different disciplines

Valedictorian Imrana Imran attributed the success to selfless sacrifices of parents, commitment and devotion of IoBM faculty and management and vowed to utilise her knowledge to serve Pakistan with diligence and hard work.
