Six injured as building wall collapses in Lahore

A wall of the 60-feet deep basement was being constructed when it collapsed.

Six workers were injured after an under construction building near the Lahore airport collapsed on Friday.

A wall of the 60-feet deep basement was being constructed when it collapsed, burying workers under the rubble. They were immediately rushed to Services Hospital, where they were pronounced out-of-danger.


Federal Institution of Old Age Benefit Plaza was being constructed on the Abdullah interchange near Askari 10.

Locals said there still may be more workers under the rubble while the site contractor said all of them have been rescued.

Later, hearing of the incident, Punjab Chief Minister's coordinator visited the spot and said substandard material was being used in the construction of the building.
