CJP instruct trial court to complete Axact case
Top court demands an explanation if the case is not completed in the stipulated time
ISLAMABAD:
Supreme Court has ordered Trial Court to complete the Axact Fake Degree Case in the specified time.
The top court in its remarks asked the Trial Court to present an explanation if the case is not completed in the stipulated time.
A three-member bench head by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar heard the Axact Fake Degree Case.

At the start of the hearing, the CJP asked how the FIR given by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) could be ignored. The FIA counsel informed the court that Peshawar High Court had declared that the investigation for the case had not been completed.
On this, the CJP remarked that review of the appeal had been assigned and accepted by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa so it would be appropriate that the case is heard by him.
The additional attorney general informed the court that case proceedings in Karachi’s trial court had not yet been completed.

The counsel for Axact said the deadline allowed for completion of trial was still available. The court had given three months to the trial court on 29 October.
The court then ordered the Trial Court to complete its proceedings in the specified time and demanded it to present an explanation if the trial was not completed within the deadline.
The court observed that if the trial was not completed the matter would be taken up at the chamber, the court remarked before indefinitely adjourning hearing for the case.
