RAWALPINDI: The residents of Rawalpindi, under the Clean and Green Pakistan initiative, have demanded removal of heaps of garbage from the different localities of the city seeking attention of the authorities concerned.

Main Airport Road of Rahimabad and Jhanda Chichi's service road are littered and waiting for the Chaklala Cantonment Board to take some remedial action to protect residents from the odour of the garbage.          "We were quite relieved when the government announced the initiation of campaigns to clean the cities but heaps of waste are still left on the roads, creating a serious health hazard for the dwellers," Saad Malik a resident of Civil Lines complained.

This young man claims to have the solution to Karachi’s garbage crisis

"The roads which link the main roads and service roads of densely inhabited areas are constantly being neglected as trash has not been picked up by the relevant authorities," he said.
