LAHORE:
A four-member Chinese furniture manufacturers' delegation will visit Pakistan at the invitation of the Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) for three days, starting from December 3. The visit is aimed at exploring prospects of mutual investment in the furniture industry and further strengthening existing bilateral trade relations.
PFC Chief Executive Mian Kashif Ashfaq said this in a meeting with the board of directors on Friday which reviewed arrangements for the upcoming three-day Interiors Pakistan exhibition scheduled for December 14 at the Expo Centre.
Skills scarcity hampering furniture exports
He said he extended the invitation to the Chinese counterparts during Prime Minister Imran Khan's trip to China. Chinese companies would display their products in the Interiors Pakistan exhibition and besides the Chinese, about dozen other companies from Turkey, Malaysia, Taiwan, Italy, USA, England and Sri Lanka would also participate in the fair, he added.
