LAHORE:
The Railways police has said the security and completion of China-Pakistan Economic Project (CPEC) projects is contingent upon recruitment of 5,000 policemen.

The police authorities said they had completed a plan for recruitment. According to sources, Railways authorities wanted to lay a track from Khunjerab to Gwadar under CPEC. However, the lack of security personnel is a major issue.

Sources said if the additional number of security forces was not provided then the completion of the project could face uncertainty.  The permission, however, of the Ministry of Railways would be necessary for the recruitment of 5,000 policemen.
