QUETTA:
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani on Sunday said Balochistan Assembly Speaker Mir Quddus Bizenjo will not resign. Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has assured the speaker of resolving his reservations.

“We will strengthen Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and resolve issues with the collaboration of CM Kamal and Speaker Bizenjo,” the chairman said while addressing newsmen after an informal meeting at the residence of Saeed Hashmi.

The meeting was arranged in honor of the Senate chairman. Manzoor Kakar and Mir Sarfraz Bugti were also present in the meeting.
Sanjrani said that the statement from the speaker was a reaction to political turmoil in Balochistan. The CM has assured the speaker of resolving his reservations as soon as possible.

Balochistan Assembly speaker ‘to resign’

He said that there were no splinter groups in the party. “Political contradictions and reservations of party members inside the party is the beauty of democracy. While our contradictions and reservations are only for the development of Balochistan,” he added.

Owing to the requirement of his post as speaker Bizenjo has become apolitical, the chairman said, adding his communication with the party has cut off. Therefore, the speaker had to resort to media statements to make the party members aware about his reservations, he added.

Bizenjo would remain on his post and would not resign. He would play his role in the establishment and strengthening of the party, Sanjrani added.

No truth in news about Bizenjo: Marri

Speaking to media, Bizenjo said “I want to serve the people of my constituency. My reservations are related to frequent interference in my constituency. The CM has assured me to resolve my reservations and he would hopefully do so”.

He said a committee has been formed under the Senate chairman while negotiations are underway.
It is expected that another important meeting would be called in the next 48 hours, he added.

Bizenjo said that “we are tribal people thereby our relationship is based on mutual respect”.

Though the meeting with the CM was in a pleasant environment, yet reservations are to be averted, he added.
