Science And Technology: Pakistan, Sudan to enhance cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Sudan Mohammed Omer Musa on Wednesday said his country could benefit from Pakistan in the fields of science and technology, human resource development, information technology, and agricultural research.  He was speaking at a meeting with Federal Minister for Science and Technology Mir Changez Khan Jamali here. “Pakistan and Sudan have a scientific and technological cooperation agreement signed in 1983 which has not been active for quite some time,” he said. Both the sides expressed the desire to enhance the existing cooperation for the benefit of the people of the two countries. The ambassador said Sudan has 120 million hectares of land outside the net of irrigation and in this regard Pakistan can provide technical expertise in the field of agricultural research.
