Appointment: FDE gets a director general at last

FDE had no DG since October 10 and no permanent DG since 2016

ISLAMABAD: The ministry of federal education and vocational training has appointed principal of Sector G-6/3 boys college as director general (DG) of the Federal Directorate of Education, sources said on Tuesday. FDE had no DG since October 10 and no permanent DG since 2016. The matter for appointing a permanent head has yet to be resolved by the education ministry; however, it has for now appointed Dr Ali Ahmed Kharal as DG of the FDE. He has previously held the post, but was sent back to college on the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan. According to an FDE notification, Kharal will hold additional charge of DG while working as principal of Sector G-6/3 Boys College. Summary of Kahral’s appointment will be sent to PM Imran Khan after his interview, sources said.
