HYDERABAD:
Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Sindh chapter announced that the doctors in the province will observe a black day to protest the policies of the health department. Addressing a press conference at the press club, PMA's General Secretary Dr Pir Manzoor Ali deplored the posting of the medical officers from different districts of Sindh.
He contended that the Supreme Court had ordered the Sindh government to appoint doctors for Tharparkar district. "However, the government has transferred around 300 doctors from different districts of Sindh to Tharparkar," he claimed. Ali maintained that the sudden transfers from several districts had created a shortage of doctors in those districts. "We are not against the transfers of the doctors but there ought to be a clear policy and rules," he said.
