This was stated by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar as he addressed a public gathering at the Circuit House in DG Khan This was the first visit of Buzdar to his native district.
As many as 198,000 Insaf health cards would be distributed among people of the district, he said. The CM added that funds worth of Rs60 million had been provided for 400 more beds at the teaching hospital of Ghazi Khan Medical College.
An international standard university would also be established, he declared. As much as Rs5 billion was been provided for the Northern bypass.
The CM further maintained that a modern cattle farm would be established with a fund worth Rs200 million. Fort Munro Development Authority would be converted into a tribal area development authority. Special economic zone and industrial estate would be established in DG Khan over 38,000 kanals of land.
Also, 13 small dams would be established to tame hill torrents, Buzdar announced. “Five dykes would be constructed to control floods in DG Khan. Community centre for families would be established within the Services club,” he said. “All closed water supply schemes will be restored in the district and funds worth of Rs500 million had been provided for the beautification of the city.
For maternity supervision, especially three equipped ambulances had been given to the district health department.”
“I will drive away deprivation in southern Punjab, especially in trans Indus districts Rajan Pur and Dera Ghazi Khan. I am well aware about the problems of common dwellers of the area. The doors of the CM office will remain open for the public and members of the provincial assembly, contrary to previous practice restrictions,” the CM said.
