Girl found in near-death condition dies, 37 outlaws arrested

ISLAMABAD: The capital police on Thursday recovered the bodies of two men from different parts of the city while a teenaged girl was found lying in near-death condition.

According to the Bhara Kahu police, 22-year-old youngster Malik Ehtesham had left his house in Kot Hatial on his motorbike on November 13 but never returned.

On Thursday morning, his body was discovered atop a hill in Junejo Town. Officers said that they first discovered his locked motorbike abandoned by the roadside.

A short distance away, at the top of a hill, they found Ehtesham’s body. A 30-bore pistol was also found lying nearby with a single empty bullet casing. The police said that Ehtesham was suffering from some mental illness and was also seeking treatment for his ailment.

Separately, the Aabpara police found the body of 76-year-old Ghulam Mustafa from the market in Sector G-7/2. Officials said that Mustafa used to work at a bread pit in Jinnah Super Market.

The Lohi Bher police found an 18-year-old girl in near-death condition from a house in Mouza Bhandar within their remits.

A few minutes after she was discovered, police officers said that she passed away.

Officers said that the girl was fed up of her family and had consumed poisonous tablets to commit suicide.

Drug pushers caught

The Islamabad Police have claimed that they have arrested 37 outlaws, including 19 drug peddlers. They claimed to have recovered narcotics including crystal methamphetamine (commonly known as ‘ice’) and wine from their possession.

A police spokesperson on Thursday said that the Aabpara police arrested Aamir Masih and recovered 200 grammes of hashish from him.

Separately, the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of the Islamabad Police had nabbed Imran Masih and recovered 290 grammes of hashish and 10 grammes of heroin from him.

The Secretariat police arrested Waqar and recovered 1.04 kilogrammes of hashish from him while the Kohsar police arrested James Masih, Yasir Mehmood and recovered 250 grammes of heroin and 315 grammes of hashish from their possession respectively.

The Bhara Kahu police arrested Danyal, Khursheed, Shahzad and Abdul Aziz for carrying 2.6 kilogrammes of hashish, 320 grammes of heroin and eight bottles of wine respectively. The Shalimar police claimed to have arrested Ameen Abbas and recovered 13 bottles of wine from him. The Shams Colony police held Mufakir Hayat, Latif, Kamran and recovered 800 grammes of hashish from their possession.

Nilore police arrested Tahir Razwan and recovered 220 grammes of hashish from him. The Karachi Company police arrested Khuram for carrying 350 grammes of hashish and the Golra police held Zulfiqar, Zermeen Masih and Zahid Khan, recovering 160 grammes of heroin, 1.3 kilogrammes of hashish and a 30 bore pistol from them respectively.

The Tarnol police arrested Aamir and Mohsin and recovered 1.1 kilogrammes of hashish from them. The Koral police recovered a 30 bore pistol from Yasir Ishfaq.

The Ramana police arrested Haider and Zeshan and recovered 700 grammes of hashish and five grammes of ice from their possession. The Sihala police arrested Nazeer and recovered 210 grammes of hashish from him.

The Lohi Bher police arrested Basharat and recovered 18 bottles of wine from him.
