OPPO the Selfie expert and leader is back again with a new mid-range phone, OPPO A7. A-series from OPPO has been quite successful in the Pakistan smartphone market and undoubtedly it has given a tough time to other smartphones in its respective price range. What’s the reason behind the success of OPPO A-series? Is it the camera? Does it have something do with the device durability and design? Or is it its price? Well, it comprises of all three. The best thing about mid-range series is that you get half of the flagships features at half the price. OPPO is well-known for its unique innovations which can be witnessed by their camera, charging and battery quality of their phones.
OPPO A7, yet to be launched has already hit the headlines because of its exquisite design and a big battery size. The battery size in this phone is really impressive and it is the first A-series phone to come up with a water-drop notch display. OPPO A7 is powered by a 4230 mAh battery. With a 4230 mAh battery, users can last for two days on normal usage, which means with a battery of such capacity, one can have a day off from charging their phone.
If a brand offers a budget device with a USP, the chances of it becoming a benchmark is very high. Once it becomes a benchmark, a standard will be set for other brands to follow or to compare their position and performance with it. If we focus on OPPO’s previous smartphones trend, OPPO has been manufacturing smartphones with a battery capacity of 3000 mAh or above, nothing less than 3000 which is a good thing given the advancement in connectivity which consumes more battery. OPPO with its previous two A-series devices, A3s and A5 have used 4230 mAh battery capacity. OPPO A7 will be using the same battery capacity hence it will set a benchmark for both themselves and for other brands manufacturing devices in the similar price range.
For OPPO this will be used as a fixed standard for the upcoming A-series models and for the other brands, they will use it to judge their performance and come up with something better. It will be a challenge for them to compromise on the battery life if they claim that their product is a mid-range device. Anything below a battery size of 4000 mAh will eventually force their customers to switch to OPPO.
The phone is yet to be launched and it has already become a topic of hot debate. Its 3D Texture Artistic Design, powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor and bigger battery capacity of 4230 mAh will carry on the success legacy of the A-series. There is no end to the benchmark game because at the end of it, it’s all about who effectively utilises the technology first.
In short, OPPO A7 will give a tough time to its competitors and because of it, they will be forced to amend their strategies if they fail to match OPPO A7 specs.
