Revealed: 'Missing' former PakTurk School principal, family deported on Oct 14
On Wednesday, a single bench of the IHC comprising Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the case. During the hearing, the court asked the petitioner’s counsel, Sayeda Noreen Malik, whether anyone had harassed her clients. Malik reported that her clients had not been troubled by anyone. She added that the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) had extended its deadline of November 20. However, she noted that her clients have no jobs. Justice Aurangzeb asked Malik to keep the court updated on the emerging situation after November 20. He added that the court was only looking at the matter to the extent of deportation. The court also kept intact its directives to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure the safety of the teachers until the next hearing of the case.
